Had she been aware that Caitie thought Luke’s shenanigans the other night were funny, Maddie might have been a little more reluctant to ask the younger girl to help out. Yeah, they made a good team, and yeah, the pranking was all in good fun, but it was the principal of the thing. Laughter implied that Caitie was partially on Luke’s side.
The farting mattress was still a more amusing idea, in her opinion, but the lasting effects of Luke unknowingly dying his hair pink and staining his hands purple would definitely be worth it. Of course, he’d probably find some way of saying how well he worked those girly colors, but at least people would know that it was Caitie and Maddie’s handiwork.
“Not unless you wanna get caught.” Maddie faced far more of a risk doing this than Caitie did. If O’Brien caught her messing around near his room, even if it wasn’t him she was after, he might make good on his promise to toss her into solitary. She didn’t know if he was serious, but why tempt fate? Because pranks were worth it, that’s why.
She nodded her head in the direction of one of the rear exits. “Shame they finally had to get someone on security who actually knows how to operate the cameras.” No relying on a certain person to help her out with that anymore.
