WHO: Maddie, Luke. WHAT: Being ridiculous. Also obnoxious. WHERE: The blacktop. WHEN: August 1st, late night. RATING: Medium? Language? Idk.
There was a really good chance that holding a boombox and skating in circles at one in the morning was not a very nice person thing to do. Innocent people lived in the rooms nears the blacktop. Innocent people who were being kept awake for no reason. Innocent people who did not deserve to listen to Salt Shaker, no matter how much Maddie did.
Did Luke care? Not especially.
He was having the time of his life, actually. It was really fun to ride around like this and know people were watching him through their windows and talking about him. He liked posing for them, and the thought made him laugh as he turned circle after circle. It didn't matter if people paid attention because they were annoyed and couldn't believe he was this inconsiderate; Rae and Uncle B might think Luke was a good kid, but as far as he was concerned he had zero responsibility to almost everyone who lived on these grounds. That meant he could do whatever he wanted most of the time.
But whatever. Here he was, and this was the fourth song he'd blasted. Best idea.
It definitely took his mind off things that were harder to deal with.
