When her cheeks turned pink, David chuckled a little bit and pushed some hair behind her ear when she stood. "Hm. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but I'd have to be a pretty big fool to complain." And he definitely wasn't a fool. When she kissed him, he smiled. This wasn't an average friendship thing, but he didn't mind. He really didn't mind.
His eyes fell to the book in her hands and he gave a little smile. "Back in those times we should've..." been together, he thought, "realized that we should be... like this." Rambling, rather than telling her what he really wanted to say. Yup. Classic David. What else was new.
Moving his hands down to her sides, he gave a little grin and nodded his head.
"I think we can do that. It's been awhile since I've gone hunting." One of the things he'd always wanted to do with Elliot, but never gotten the chance. His expression went wistful, but he didn't say anything. It was a lovely thought, Eloise doing this for him. "Since back before Eli and Rae got to Liberty Island, I think."
Reluctantly, he pulled away from her and reached under the bed for a small duffel bag, unzipping the top to check and make sure all his supplies were still there. A little smile and a nod, and he turned his head to look at her. "Let's go, hm?"
