Okay. Okay, he couldn't help but grin. "If you weren't my nephew, I'd probably punch you." Okay, maybe he wouldn't. And he wasn't really all that angry. He'd just asked Luke not to make a big deal out of it. But really? Could this be called 'a big deal'? It was just some tinsel, a banner, and two of his favorite people. Who was he kidding. It was a really big deal. Taise and Luke were the only ones he'd want to be spending his birthday with, save Eloise. And probably Rae.
But this was perfect.
Smiling when he felt Taisce's pat on his back, once Luke pulled away, he turned to bring his arms around his Irish friend, tugging her into a tight embrace. "You guys didn't have to do this." He turned all of his attention to Taisce, "and you're lucky. That did not make me happy. In fact, thank you for the headache." Pulling back just enough to join Taisce in observing the decorating job Luke had done, he didn't let Taisce go just yet. "I think he did an excellent job. Aand... Ha," He looked to Luke, then to Taisce, and then back over toward the cookie and the pie, "I don't know."
