"Yeah. You'd better not." O'Brien didn't even bother to wait and see whatever exchange happened between Marty and Taisce, and then whatever else happened after that. Marty going back into the tower, whatever. O'Brien was already halfway across the prison yard by then.
She was saying something. Or trying to say something. Taisce was. He was quiet. Even when she mentioned that they should just forget that the whole thing happened. Yeah, right. Okay. Brows furrowed.
It wasn't until Taisce mentioned Luke that O'Brien slowed to a stop, turning to look at her, his hands moving to set on his hips as he studied her a brief moment.
Seriously?
Eyes narrowed with concentration before he dragged his attention away, dropped his hands back down at his sides, and turned to continue toward the recreation building. Of course he was headed back. It was his day off. He didn't even want to take a day off, but Luke had insisted. So he'd taken the day off. So yes, he was going back to his and Luke's place. But Taisce could figure that out herself. Because O'Brien wasn't going to say anything, yet. Because if he did? It might not be friendly. And he honestly didn't want to say anything mean to her. Really.
But for the record? He was pretty frustrated with the situation.
