Sullen people were always a worthy challenge. Cracking that shell, forcing them into conversation. It was always a fun game for Allie. She liked making people feel special, giving them attention and making them feel important. Maybe even raise their spirits a little. Goodness knows there weren't enough cheerful bodies in the world anymore. Not that Allie couldn't blame them. She had her share of hopeless days.
Allie gave a dramatic sigh. "I miss watching movies, don't you? That's one of the things I miss most about this whole zombie thing." The lack of eye contact was a complete giveaway. Allie wasn't stupid, despite coming off that way to many people. She knew when people were trying to avoid her, but she didn't let it dampen her spirits.
When the other girl accepted the handshake and gave her name, Allie felt her eyebrows jump in surprise. Her smile became a little more genuine. "George? Oh my, that's an adorably masculine name you have. Short for Georgina? Georgia? It's very unique and pretty. And if you ever decided to dress up in drag? Perfect butch name."
