Den nodded at Brandon when he waved off the thanks. "She is good about that." Rory had claimed she'd wanted to be a doctor for the science aspect, but Den always thought there was more to it. She had a good heart. He did wonder about the second part though. Rory hadn't filled him in on what things hadn't been working out for her before then, but it was a zombie apocalypse. Den didn't really expect things to work better than they had to in most circumstances. Usually they worked worse.
Dennis followed Brandon and took the key when offered. He studied the assortment in the case, and looked up when Jon addressed him. "I haven't been here very long," Den said to dismiss the other man's apology. He wasn't sure if he should count the time he'd been in quarantine. "I came in from South Carolina a few weeks ago after a zombie attack" He smiled at Jon. "I'm the doctor, Rory's, older brother."
He looked back at the display case, and eventually selected a Sig P226. It was very lucky that he'd happened to go to the armory right when the person with the key was already there. "I'd be interested in a vest," he said. Any little bit helped. Especially if they were going to go help clear the streets soon.
