"Thanks for looking out for her," Den said to Brandon. Rory hadn't told him a lot yet. He was still getting into the swing of things. But Den mostly liked to keep things simple. If Brandon was a friend of Rory's, he was good in Dennis's book. "It's nice to meet you," Den said. He realized that they'd sort of talked online before, now that he knew who the guy was, but Den didn't really think that counted as meeting. It was a good thing he never had to resort to online dating.
"Nice to meet you too," Den said as he shook Jon's hand. He smiled at him, then went back to perusing. It had become a necessity for Dennis to learn to be creative when it came to weapons as he traveled up the US. He wasn't familiar with some of the weapons he saw, but was confident he could get the hang of them. His main concern was not taking anything that the armory had a depleted supply of. Den could learn to use anything if he had to. There might be others that were more comfortable with certain things.
But Den also knew there were few things more annoying than dealing with someone who refused to set any parameters. "I lost my handgun. Finding a replacement might be nice," he said. "But mostly I'm just seeing what's here."
