Kori wasn’t entirely sure what her expectations were when she wrote her letter. All she’d known was that putting it out there was the only way anything could change. The note she’d found on her door was a surprise. A fight had seemed a more likely response. Well maybe not a fight, but at least a negative response. Instead, here she was finishing lunch with her sister and niece.
It was nice.
When Leah was pregnant all Kori could think of was what her niece or nephew would be like. The things she wanted to teach them and there she was eating lunch with this little girl after thinking for years she’d never get to meet her. She didn’t even mind that Marigold was losing patience as she and her mommy decided what they were doing next. Simply put Kori was happy with how things were going as she and Leah tried to find something to connect over again.
Shrugging she thought for a moment. There had to be something that she liked to do that her sister might be willing to try. Or something they could at least agree on to try together. After a moment shrugged, “Anything in particular you've wanted to try?” She asked ruffling her nieces hair as she opened it up to something that neither one of them knew anything about. It seemed the safest option considering one of her biggest passions was also something her sister had very little talent with.
