Ollie took pause, thinking about what she was saying. To be honest, that sounded like… a far, far healthier attitude than most people had nowadays. Most people thought that they would die if anything of theirs suddenly went missing. Suddenly, he felt a pang of something that he hadn't felt for someone aside from his sister in ages; respect. "That's respectable," he simply said, giving her a small smile.
"If more people had that same outlook? This world might actually be a nicer place to live," he told her genuinely.
To be completely honest, Ollie, as a thief, had no right to sit there and tell her that her way was right, since he'd never legitimately tried living life that way. He was like a human magpie; obsessed with things and the acquisition of things, legally or otherwise. "Because of that? I don't think I'll take it from you. A lot of people wouldn't have been so… understanding about it."
He arched an eyebrow when she dismissed the habituality behind his way of life as a need. "That's an interesting way of thinking about it," he agreed. "Though I don't know if I agree, especially when the instinct is base as thievery."
The girl seemed nice enough, and she hadn't maced him in the face yet, so he didn't mind so much admitting to attempted thievery.
