Well she definitely felt like an idiot. She sort of recognized her as the older woman that had taken up kitchen duty in Rae’s place and she thought that she was something like a mom to her friend but she couldn’t be sure. Kori’s memory and faces never seemed to work well together; it was a little annoying.
Biting her lip Kori nodded; thankful that it was dark enough that the blond probably couldn’t see her flushing for her mistake. “Sorry.” She apologized once she’d moved closer to the window. Now she felt pretty awkward repeating herself, but that was her fault. It wasn’t a secret that there were a few people that didn’t communicate the same as the majority. Maybe it would have been safer to just tap her on the shoulder and waited to start talking. But well she just assumed and now she had the corresponding embarrassment to go with it.
“Quite a storm isn’t it? I got completely soaked before I could get inside.” She said this time slow enough that she clearly enunciated the syllables as requested. Hopefully she’d done what the woman meant.
