That had most definitely not been his intention. Evan didn't know why, but since the random act of kindness thrown his way by Stone, the last person he'd ever expect, he'd been far more inclined to do the nice thing himself. It was weirding him out and he didn't like it. Danny was incredibly proud of him, which was nice, but the rest of it was just… disconcerting.
"Someone who could make it work? Or a packrat? I don't honestly know," he admitted with a bit of a chuckle. "I'm just saying, don't cast it aside just because it doesn't work. Someone might have just what it needs to be fixed and be willing to trade something awesome for it."
Why was he telling her? It was as good a question to ask himself as it was for anyone else. He merely shrugged one shoulder and quirked a smile. "You were looting. It's loot. Besides, there's something to be said for sticking it to the man by coming home empty handed on a supply raid, right? All rebellious without a cause… or something like that." He didn't even know what he was saying. "If you want it back, take it. I'm not going to take it."
