WHO: Adelaide and Cutter WHAT: Addie learns how to fight dirty WHERE: Sing Sing, former inmate gym WHEN: June 6th, early evening RATING: Low-ish STATUS: In Progress
Back at the library he had promised to teach her a few dirty tricks to help her gain the upper hand in a fight, but Cutter had always avoided going through with it - at first his injured hand had served as a great excuse, because showing her how to fight would make it impossible to avoid touching her. If he had thought things between them couldn't get any more complicated he was wrong, but the attack had showed him once more just how quick things could change and he didn't want to delay this any further. Not that he didn't trust her abilities to defend herself, but he would sleep a lot better if he knew she could put a few joint locks to good use and take down a guy his size with ease.
Being the creature of habit he was he could often be found in the gym formerly at the disposal of the inmates of Sing Sing, his way to wind down and a great time to overt hink things. He had asked Addie to meet him there an hour after his shift ended, so he had sufficient time to work out on his own before she showed up. This was actually his last round on the weight machine. Cutter had lost track of time but Addie should show up any moment and he wanted to be ready - meaning he wanted to have his shirt back on. He had taken it off because it always annoyed him when he lifted wights and it was way too warm. Other than that he only wore his black sweatpants, sneakers that were almost falling apart and bandages wrapped around his hands. Cutter still wasn't sure if this was such a good idea but now it was too late to turn back.
