WHO: Rory & Finn WHAT: Birthday Fun! WHERE: The Swings at Sing Sing WHEN: May 23, evening STATUS: In progress.
To say Finn was intrigued by Rory's text was an understatement. The demanding tone had intrigued him, and the location made him grin. It had been a long, long time since he'd met a girl he liked at the swings, and he was fairly certain that things with Rory held a lot more promise than things with Megan O'leary had back in the fourth grade. For one, she probably wouldn't kick him in the shins when he tried to kiss her. Though, with Rory you never could really tell.
He'd actually changed his shirt. Finn was sure he was losing his head, because it had actually occurred to him to take off the tank that he'd worn that afternoon, and replace it with a blue tshirt. Sure, Finn hadn't thought to bother with his hair, and there was tar under one nail that just wasn't coming off, and it was only a tshirt, but it wasn't a tanktop, and it was a color. He was sure he was a lost man.
When he approached the swings the fading light was dim enough that he could see a funny glow in Rory's hands, and as he got closer he grinned when he realized she was holding a cupcake, with a candle stuck in.
