Rae was still suspicious, definitely. And the whole ambiance of the "class" wasn't really helping matters. Most of the questions people were asking were common-sense questions. Things they could've asked just about anyone. And that Libby girl was sitting at the front of the room with Rory like she was someone important... the whole thing just gave Rae a bad feeling.
She had spent the better part of the whole thing eying Libby, watching her and barely paying any attention to the asinine questions the mothers-to-be were asking. The girl seemed normal. Cheerful, even. But Rae's gut told her that something was wrong. That same dangerous gut feeling she'd had for the past few days was surfacing again and she was starting to get the impression that it centered around this "class."
Her eyes darted around the room for anything suspicious, but the rec room was just the same as it ever was. You're being paranoid, Rae. Stop that, she told herself.
She turned her head back to look at Rory, AJ and Libby, and as soon as her eyes hit the front of the room, she heard a phone ringing. Liberty hurried herself out of the room and Rae's suspicions heightened. Looking around again, paused when her eyes scanned past the window. What in the hell was going on out there? Fighting. And lots of it. "Hey, wait. Wait!" she called everyone's attention. "Something's happening out there."
She stood up and walked up to the window, and her eyes widened when she caught sight of a group of no fewer than six men in lab coats heading for that very room. "What the..." she turned around, her face serious all of a sudden. "Quick. Quick, everyone out the back door!" she whispered, reaching down and turning the lock over. "Don't panic, but... they're government. I recognize them from when I was being watched."
Probably not the wisest thing she could've said to avoid panic, but she wanted people to hurry and get out as quickly as she could.
