Yes, she probably did need a good cry. But she didn't want to really make herself open up to all of that. Let her guard down. Not when there were so many things that could go wrong. Part of her thought too that if she went and let everything out, that she wouldn't be able to function after it. She didn't care much about herself, but she did want to keep her partner safe. Giving into a lot of emotion would just make her vulnerable and a liability. It was something they taught them at MI-5. Not to get over emotional.
