WHO: Adelaide and Harlow WHAT: Quality time and Cat's Cradle. WHERE: Quarantine, Sing Sing WHEN: May 8, 2019 RATING: Medium STATUS: In progress
Harlow was honestly amazed by the lengths Adelaide's brother and Big Bear had gone to for her. He knew it shouldn't have surprised him-- he had seen the way they doted on her already, caught glimpses of it at the bar even before he'd started hanging around with Adelaide. Still, it was so sweet to arrive at her cell in quarantine and see the blankets they'd hung up over the bars, the towels they had covered the floor with, the absurd amount of pillows and blankets they'd put on her bed. It was a cell fit for a princess, which was the only sort of cell Harlow could ever envision Adelaide in anyhow.
It took some convincing to get Rodeo and Cutter out of the room. Neither of them had looked happy to see Harlow, that much was for sure, but they clearly were too devoted to Adelaide's happiness at the moment to fight her on his presence. But Harlow wanted to spend a little time one-on-one with Adelaide, and he knew that with her boys around she would hold back a little. It wasn't that she wasn't herself around them-- it was clear she was comfortable with them, but she kept more things to herself when they were around, it seemed. Harlow had a feeling that some time with him, talking about the things she couldn't with them, would help improve her morale a bit. So he'd teased the boys until he convinced them to step out long enough to go take showers and change their clothes, after insisting that the cell was beginning to stink and that Adelaide would die of their stench instead of anything else. Harlow wasn't really sure how much time that bought them, but he was going to make the most of it.
"Slut, I hope you realize how much I like you right now," Harlow said as he sat beside Adelaide, winding a looped bit of string around his fingers absently and then holding it out to her. Cat's Cradle. "I drove out to this shithole with a cute boy in a '94 LeSabre and I didn't even stop to have sex with him to distract myself from the fact that I was in the world's ugliest car."
