WHO: Rory and Casey WHAT: Just a whole heap of awkward WHERE: Sing Sing, near Building 5 WHEN: April 30, 2019 RATING: Low STATUS: In progress
Casey had finished with everything he needed to do for the day. He'd gone to the kitchens and dropped off the airtight container that held the nitrogen, setting it aside with the supplies Rae provided him with for the ice cream project. He arranged everything with an almost compulsive sort of neatness so that when Lilah arrived in the morning to meet him, she wouldn't be greeted with a messy sight. He'd probably wind up going early and re-arranging things a few times anyway, though. He felt anxiety brewing in his gut, worried she would think it's silly. What if she didn't even like ice cream? What if she thought he was creepy for setting up the whole thing? His stomach churned with worry and fear, and he found himself wandering restlessly near Building 5.
Lucretia followed him, hopping along behind him in the gathering dusk. The evenings came slower, and the sun was just low enough to cast long shadows across the prison grounds. He kept his hood pulled up, but that wouldn't really disguise the fact that he was stalking around Lilah's sleeping space once again. He sat down along the ledge that ran along the building, and Lucy leapt up into his lap, rubbing her head against his chest. He brought his hands up to pet her, glancing at the doorway to the building behind him, frowning at it as his thoughts gnawed away at his resolve to carry through with his plan for the next day.
