"Mm, you do pull off unapproachable well," Harlow nodded, and it was clear that he approved. "Not that it'll deter me," he made sure to add, lifting his brows a little to make sure she knew he was serious about it. No hope of chasing him off now-- once he'd made a decision on someone, it wasn't reversible.
Harlow nodded as he listened, and he could just about surmise the specifics that Adelaide left out. Her plans to marry the man must have been for personal gain, not for love. And really, that only made Harlow like her more. "Mm, you'll find a way out if you were a cunning enough bitch to find a way in," Harlow said certainly. If she could pull off the sham in the first place, then clearly she was capable enough to plot her way out of it.
Harlow cackled when she swayed to the music, taking it as a sign that she was ready for the next step. He set down his shot glass and stood up on the bar, reaching his hands down and taking her wrists, pulling to get her to stand. "Up, bitch," he demanded, laughing all the while. "Dance with me, whore."
