Good day, everyone! I am Caleb, a soon-to-be graduate student in history…, which will require me to move into the great unknown of New England very soon. However, on this site, I will be portraying 31-year-old Alastor Moody, a hard-working Auror who finds the bottle to be his major flaw. Seriously, what sane person after seeing death all day would not down a few!
Recently, he has been wholly devoting himself to whichever case he chooses to cover himself. That is the beauty of being the head of the office; you can give your least favorite people the worst cases on the docket. Seeing as how Alastor trained most of the office though, he does not despise any of the other Aurors.
After the Hat decided in 1960 that loyalty and hard work were his defining qualities, he decided to prove that Hufflepuffs are not all a bunch of duffers. Did I mention that he likes work – well he tends to be a workaholic which probably explains why his wife decided to take the transfer to Cardiff and why his brother, a Chaser for the average Tutshill Tornadoes, has not seen him in the last year.
Firewhiskey and spiced rum however are two wonderful things and Alastor has been spending more time at home drinking than sleeping. He has been testing some varieties of Muggle alcoholic beverages from his recent trips to the Continent now that his wife seems to have transferred to the Cardiff Ministry office. This destructive cycle is not getting him anywhere however and he is finding himself in need of some serious face time with his friends.
While a shy person at Hogwarts, he rather enjoys meeting new people, especially people who do not prattle on about pureblood supremacy. Horrified as I know some of you will be at his half-blood status, he could not care less and believes wholly that love should always trump blood. Maybe all this stubbornness comes from that bloody connection he has to the Black family back in the 1700s…nah, it probably would not reach that far…
Enough about him…you can check out his profile here.
