Who: Everyone
What: BYOIC Social.
When: Friday, after class.
Where: Rakiah Common Room
Rating: TBA

Minnie was glad that she had the help of Sam, YueYi and Shelley. Even split into three people she was having trouble getting everything ready. The freezer in the Rakiah kitchenette had been cleaned out and stocked full of tubs of ice creams. Chocolate and Vanilla were provided for anyone who didn't have any already, but they had encouraged everyone to bring their own. Minnie thought it would be nice to see what everyone else liked. Then they could bond with other people of similar tastes even if they ran in different crowds.

Minnie had left the electronics set up to anyone but her. Instead, she and her duplicates were cleaning up the room and laying out the additives. There were also a few other things for people to eat, but nothing of substance. With the financial backing of Lendie, they were able to buy more than they thought they could. Minnie snagged one of her clones as it walked by, reabsorbing it now that it was no longer needed. Memories of setting up flooded her, and she pulled a face. Now it seemed like setting up had taken twice as long as it actually had. One more clone was wandering around, but Minnie thought she would wait until it had more friendly memories before reabsorbing it.

"Ehhh." She got the attention of herself and waved the duplicate over to the serving table. It could act as the ice cream tender while she mingled. The duplicate pulled a face at her, but went to do as it was told. She made a quick thank you gesture to herself before going over to see how the other girls were doing.

Minnie had asked Sam to help with the decorations and preparation for the Ice Cream Party, which she gladly agreed to. Going about her business, helping with the electronics and filling the freezer with Ice cream she put her own little pint of Cookie Dough, which she’d gone to Idris village to get with Misae, inside also. Smiling as she helped the other three girls, plus Minnie’s clones. Through the years she’d grown used to seeing them, Minnie and Sam were roommates after all. Excited for the night to progress she was glad to have everything looking wonderful in the Rakiah common.

Dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt, Sam didn’t look much up for a party. Though Sam had no problem with people seeing her that way, she took pleasure in comfort over style. Wondering when Abbey would show up, she continued to help Minnie, Yue Yi, and Shelly; all while smiling and laughing with the other girls, singing under her breath now and again.

Purposely forgoing customary knocking, Reo kicked open the door to the Rakiah common room and marched in with a triumphant grin in place. Both her hands were occupied by plastic bags. One held two extra large pints of Cake Batter ice cream, one of which was going to be hers and only hers to enjoy, because there was no way she would have anything less than one whole pint of her favorite ice cream.

The other bag was the entertainment, or more specifically, movies. Reo had spent an entire hour in each store trying to find at least one for each major genre. As suggested, there was The Ring, and the original Japanese one Ring. Abby's suggestion was there as well, between Embla's and a few American classics.

"MING-MING! I'm finally back!" she announced, hefting the two bags over and placing them down by the table. They were heavy.

Abbey had been out to get ice cream and sadly gotten distracted on her way back. What? It was winter and there had been some kids playing in the snow! Can't expect a girl to pass up on a chance of a snowball fight with kids, especially not this girl.

But once she'd remembered that she was supposed to be somewhere, doing something, the trip back to the dorms had passed in a jiffy.Still a bit out of breath and with her cheeks flushed pink from the cold Abbey came skidding into the common room, bag with ice creams in one hand and her hat and mittens in the other.

"I'M BACK!" She holler in a cheerful tone before dropping the bag onto the floor and shrugging of her jacket, only to leave it hanging over a nearby chair as she made her way over to where the small group that had already gathered. "Guys? Where is everyone?"

Oliver had his backpack slung over his shoulder, ready to port home for the next few days. He looked towards the kitchen as he descended the stairs to the common room. he knew what the girls were up to and poked his head in.

"Hey! Can a guy get a sundae to go?" he asked, leaning against the frame of the entrance to the kitchen.

Misae stood outside the Rakiah common room, still in her school uniform and clutching a pint of strawberry icecream as if it was her life. She had let Sam talk her into coming and she wasn't really entirely sure why. She wasn't exactly good at being social and social was in the name of the event. She took a deep breath, taking notice of the footprint on the common room door and shaking her head, before pushing the door open just slightly. She forced herself to smile at the less familiar faces, hoping Sam or Minnie or someone she knew well would surface soon.

Minnie greeted everyone with smiles and excited bouncing. Her last duplicate relieved Reo of part of her load, while she went over to personally answer Oliver's request. Clasping her hands in front of her chest, she grinned up at him. Were she less innocent, it would be a impish smile, but Minnie was not talented at subterfuge. "Where do you have to go?" She asked him, her eyes a touch sad at the thought of him not being there although her smile never wavered.

While she spoke to Oliver, one of the people that she greatly admired and wanted to please, she saw Misae entering the common room behind him. She waved excitedly and beckoned her over, thrilled that the socially isolated Warlock had made an appearance. Her feet itched to pounce on the new arrival, but she was still waiting on Oliver. Somewhat guiltily, she turned her attention back on him, ashamed to have been so easily distracted. A light blush tinted her face, and she rushed to apologize to him. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to not pay attention to you!" She reached out and clasped his free hand in hers, half bowing in an flustered manner.

Oliver turned his head and smiled at Misae before he had a chance to answer Minnie. Turning his attention back to the younger girl Oli chcukled as she took his hand. "That's alright," he assured her. "This place is starting to get busy and I need to get going. Have to go home for a few days," he explained, his glum mood lightened by her sweetness alone.

"Think I can get a double scoop of strawberry with a drizzle of fudge on top?" he asked. "And maybe some hugs for the road." Oli was a sucker for hugs from his girls.

Minnie leapt to do his bidding, glad to be so easily forgiven. Nudging aside her duplicate, she eagerly grabbed a spoon to start scooping up ice cream to put in a Styrofoam bowl. They only had vanilla and chocolate for the people who did not bring their own. Her duplicate had been giving her a look that clearly said, 'I wanted to do it!' but now reviewed the ice cream before them with the same tragically despondent look. In unison, they both looked up at him and said, "We don't have strawberry."

Continuing alone, Minnie elaborated, "What about vanilla with strawberry topping and some fudge?" She offered it hesitatingly, knowing that it was a poor substitute for what he originally asked for.

Watching Minnie and her duplicates was quite entertaining. He moved further into the kitchen to help. "Umm. How about chocolate ice cream and strawberry topping," he decided, swiping his finger at a dribble of strawberry topping that had dripped over the side of its jar.

"Sorry I didn't have a chance to bring anything unless you could use some liquor for some really interesting sundaes?" he offered with a smirk.

Minnie watched him run his finger through the excess strawberry topping and lick his fingers with fascination. Realizing she was staring, she blinked then hurried to fill the order. "Coming right up!" She chirped as she doled out the right amounts of everything. Concentrating hard on her task, she almost did not register his remark. When it sank in, she stilled, before going back to pouring fudge topping with a bit more focus than it needed. Minnie did not like alcohol, nor the way it made people act. Her father had crawled inside a bottle when she was younger, and only recently was able to crawl back out.

Still, she only handed him the bowl and a spoon with a smile and said, "No, thanks! We'll have to do without." Making sure that he had a firm grip on the bowl, she closed the distance to give him a hug.

Upon seeing Minnie, Misae's eyes lit up, making the forced smile appear a bit more genuine. She was greatly relieved to see someone she felt comfortable around. At least she was fairly certain that was the real Minnie, not a duplicate. To be completely honest though, Misae wasn't sure it really mattered. In long, graceful steps she made her way across the common room quickly and effortlessly.

"Hey Minnie, Oliver," Misae nodded in their direction. "I'm going to put this in the freezer?" She explained before heading into the kitchen, realizing that was where everyone seemed to be hiding. Overhearing Oliver's request for strawberry ice cream, she started to say something, not loud enough for anyone to hear, but before she could manage to get the words out Minnie had already found an acceptable substitute. Not wanting to interrupt she shoved her pint in and closed the freezer door, looking around for something to do.

Oliver gladly accepted the bowl and then the hug, giving back to her as fiercely as she gave.

"Thanks Minnie. This looks delicious. My brother is going to be jealous," he told her and then moved to hug the other girls. It was almost as if he was stalling the trip home. Even Misae got a gentle hug and smile from him whether she liked it or not.

But with reluctance he waved good bye and shouldered his backpack. "Have a fun party!" he called, leaving the girls to their ice cream social.
