The present was perfect, there was no other word for the polar bear in her arms. The fur so soft benath her fingers; she just wanted to cuddle it. Although she couldn't exactly cuddle the bear and ignore her guest and returned her attention to Salvatore, a wide smile on her face, "He's perfect." Noticing his jacket draped over his arm an embarrassed expression crossed her face. Where were her manners? "I'm such an awful host, let me hang tht up for you." She offered with a pointed look at his jacket. How many times had her mother drilled how to act the part of good host to their guests over her short life? Probably more time than she could remember anymore.
On some level Laura was still trying to figure out why she'd extended an invitation to him for New Years. After the ball and replacing his jacket there wasn't much reason to, and yet there they stood. As much talk as there had been between her and Anya on the whys and why nots, she still wasn't completely ready to say that she formed some kind of emotional attachment to Salvatore in their limited interactions. Maybe thing would become clearer tomorrow, rather than a jumbled mess of feelings from enjoying his company to thinking he was attractive. This so wasn't helping her belief that she was interested in Nathan.
She blinkd, "Someone wrapped your common room?" Her tone taking on a hint of disbelief. How did that happen without getting caught? Surely those who stayed for break weren't deaf. Cutting wrapping paper to cover a room as large as a common room was bound to be a noisy affair after all.
