Laura had to restrain the urge to help him with his glitter problem. It probably wouldn’t go over too well if she invaded his personal space. Or it might? She wasn’t sure so she went with not acting on the desire. It was a little strange to her. She hadn’t actually had to restrain herself from being respectful of another’s space in a while. At the same time she thought the glitter looked sort of cute, as long as he didn’t get really pale and glitter like a diamond in the light. Ugh she did not just compare Salvatore to Edward Cullen. That was a very disturbing comparison, even if Salvatore was prettier.
For a moment she was taken aback when he presented the gift to her. She hadn’t really expected to receive anything in return. She didn’t believe in giving just to receive in return and the people that did tended to upset her. Laura recovered quickly enough and took the box from him a touch of excitement in her eyes. She didn’t know how to respond to his apology about it being late, her first thought was to say ‘better late than never’ but then she would feel as if she’d made his effort seem ridiculous so she said nothing. Instead she worked on lifting the flap in the wrapping. She didn’t want to ruin it, the paper was very pretty and she would like to keep it. “What present was left for Araboth?” She queried confusion stealing over her face as she got the flap loose.
She half noticed the lack of response to her question about his Christmas. Being busy with the other end of the wrapping so she could slide the package within out ripping the paper required a tiny bit of concentration. However when she did have the box free she glanced at him. If Salvatore didn’t want to speak of it she wouldn’t press, people were entitled to their own secrets. She was a little concerned about what he bought her, the box was somewhat large. Tucking the paper under her arm she lifted the lid to reveal a very cute stuffed polar bear laying amongst some light blue tissue paper. “He’s adorable.” She murmured removing him from the box.
