Of course he heard the noise downstairs. Who wouldn't have? He didn't go down at first because he figured it was just a couple of Araboth kids back for a visit since they all left for their holiday. Jaidev didn't leave. Christmas wasn't a holiday he celebrated. Sure, his friends had gotten him some gifts, and he was in fact surfing the internet at that moment for things to give those friends in return when he heard a vaguely familiar Rakiah voice announce his presence in the Araboth dorms.
Jaidev pushed back from his desk and headed for the stairs. Flying down them as quickly as possible, he landed at the bottom and stopped to listen through the door. He heard some distorted English, but he was able to make out a female say 'grab something' and then another guy talking about being the 'glitter fairy.'
Without waiting to hear anymore, he burst through the door and stood in the rather festive-looking Araboth common room with his legs apart, fists resting on his hips and a scowl on his face. Jaidev rarely raised his voice, but he figured he would have to if he wanted to get these kids' attention. "JUST WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!"
