Tory normally would not be caught dead holding any man's hand. Somehow it was alright to do now, probably because the boy seemed so young. He was probably in his early teens, and the situation went beyond such social worries. He dared anyone to think worse of him for this.
Tory stood slowly, saying, "I was just on my way-" He paused, not really certain what to say, as he had not had a destination in mind before, "-home," he finished. Tory quickly elaborated, "Hong Kong. I have an apartment there." With a gentle tug, he pulled both of them in the direction of his luggage. "We can get food in town if you wish, my treat."
A part of him urged to him to add, "Or you could come with me, and we could eat when we get there." He was surprised at how off handed it sounded, despite being such a momentous offer. He had just met the kid and now he wanted to bring him back to his place? That same bit that had offered told him that any company was better than none. It encouraged his rash actions by saying that if the kid was truly like him, he would feel the same. It sealed the deal by whispering to his conscience that no one should spend the holidays alone.
