Dafne watched, her blue eyes widening nervously as the crocodile bellowed at her. She was too high up for him to reach, but she still pulled her legs up to her chest rather than letting them dangle. When he'd walked away she sighed with relief, but she still didn't get down until some time later, when--still uncertain--she took the long way back to her books, gathering them in her arms and starting on her way back to her dorm room again. That was close, and after seeing the way he'd snapped and bellowed at the bottom of the tree Dafne was glad she'd been there and not on the ground.
