Mac’s mind was now focused on the hunt, disregarding his sense of right and wrong. The words she said barely made sense to him, Mac’s animal instincts easily overpowered his human self. He swung his tail in angry strokes, while he tried to get a hold onto the girl. Her speed and agility had so far prevented any injury, and Mac was very annoyed that she could easily jump out of range.
He followed in a mad dash until he came to the bottom of the tree. Looking up, Mac snapped his angry jaws and managed a croc-ey bellow. Crocodiles were very vocal when it came to a fight.
Somewhere in his primitive mind, he finally figured out that she was too high up. Trotting around the base of the trunk, Mac growled and left. The tree was out of his territory anyway.
