As a fairly new member, I hope you don't mind me suggesting this - but I think it would be a seriously good idea if you could either lift or remove the friending limit on free accounts.

I know a lot of people who would join IJ if this limit were either a reasonably high number (eg 1,000) or not there at all. You would probably also find that many of the ones who join as free members eventually sign up, as your rates are quite reasonable. But a lot of people want to try something before they pay for it.

The low limit doesn't only stop people with potentially large numbers of friends from signing on, it also dissuades others who don't join because their friends aren't going to be there. Blogging is very much a community thing.

You have a good journal, and I think it could be a lot better with more active, happy members.
