"Well, no one else but me would be able to settle you down. Last thing we need is you humpin' Mindee's leg or something." Billy got it - and hoped that one of the dupes would be the least of his worries. "I'd never go all Ol' Yeller on you, because then I'd just get a house and let you...chase rabbits and rub your ass on the carpet." He chuckled some, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'd watch out for you." And he would. Because there was so much more goodness to Teddy than people actually saw.
"Yeah man, I need those for peelin' off my legs when you keep kickin' and pullin' punches. Remember, I told you not to do that." But Teddy still did. And Billy appreciated it. Turning the pillow over to get to the cool side, Billy shrugged. "That means I get to shave your head and get glasses that give me a headache."
Billy's face scrunched up some as he thought it over. "I'd have to pop the buttons on a dress shirt. You know, being all Superman about it." He wasn't sure that was a good idea, so it was time to change the subject.
"Mom's sending us a Halloween package. I mean, Scott can have some, since I told her there was a new roommate, but she'd already sent it off. It's addressed to both of us, so either of us can pick it up. We'll be high on sugar for at least a week." Billy had an inkling as to what his parents thought, since Billy was constantly talking about how Teddy took him down with a new move or something of the like. He didn't mind, but there wasn't any mention of it in the packages so far. "It makes sense though, the costumes. Lex was always more hardcore than Clark..." Which reminded him that there was a new Smallville episode on Thursday. "I have shirts and ties - slacks and whatever if you need them. I bet you clean up pretty good."
