"I could take you. And I'd be gentle. No way would I let anyone hurt you." Billy's words were solid. As long as he was around, no matter Teddy's form, everyone at the school would have to go through him to get to Teddy-shaped-whatever. It wasn't something owed, but something earned.
"Not a dog - even I know that much. You're a crazy-cool wolf. And even inbetween or all the way, you're still Teddy. Just don't go nipping higher than my knees, got me?" Because sometimes Billy didn't know if Teddy was still in full control.
Shaking his head, Billy ran a hand through his hair. "No, I don't. But at least it'd be costumes so we could go to the get together." He didn't want to call it a dance, and he didn't want to call it a date, because it wasn't. "I hear there's a cool money prize, though. I mean, at least it'd be a couple Chinese buffets on the school, right?" Billy looked at his book and reached out, pulling it closer to his bed so Scott didn't trip over it. "Besides, I'm not much of a hunter. If anything, I'd let you gnaw on my metal leg until you got tired and turned back to...you you." Even though the wolf was impressive, Billy still preferred someone to talk to without getting a nose in his crotch.
