The growl got a smirk from Billy, and he headed back over to his bed, burying himself in the light comforter he had. He wasn't tired, but it was something to do. Opening his book back up, Billy only half-read a paragraph, listening to the sounds as Teddy changed back, got dressed.
"Just get me an animal brush, and when you eventually get stuck like that, I'll take care of you." Billy was looking at his book, the words coming off his tongue like water. "And I'll get you a can of silver polish, just in case." Closing the book after marking his page, Billy tossed it down onto the floor and shrugged his shoulders, bunching the pillow under his head. "That's what friends do. Help their bud off the floor after a kick down, punch someone in the face for talking trash, getting clothes for a wolf. All in a day's work."
Billy chewed on his lip for a moment before looking directly at Teddy. "Sorry about the petting." Just like he always was, but it never stopped him. "If I dressed up as the Huntsman, would you go as the big bad wolf for Halloween?"
