As far as food was concerned, Draco's whole first day at the Sanctuary had been a wash. He was glad that before he left he had his House Elf prepare him a nice breakfast because since then he'd lived on little more than tea and fruit. He didn't believe cooking would be a difficult skill to master, if some of the people he'd seen in the kitchen making their own meals were able to do it he knew he definitely could, but he was just as sure that it wasn't a skill he wanted to learn. He was only going to be here for a short time so it seemed unnecessary as well as ridiculously lower class and while he might have been crazy he wasn't going to stoop to that level. That meant, of course, that after three meals skipped he just couldn't miss a third. His stomach wouldn't let him.
He was determined to be the first to arrive since he didn't want to end up wrapped in some other confrontation that would keep him from getting something to eat. Plus, he also needed to come up with some sort of plan for dealing with this therapist he had an appointment with at two thirty. He needed to find out just who she was, if she was really qualified, and how well she could be trusted as well as preemptively try and determine what she might ask him so he would have an answer prepared.
The cafeteria was open when he showed up and food was just starting to be served so he got in line and tried to make choices that wouldn't make him ill later. At the same time he kept a careful eye on the kitchen staff if he could see any to make sure they were hygienic, especially with the handling of his food. When he had a full tray of something he hoped he wouldn't regret, he sat down at a table, disappointed that they were all the same and that there were four other chairs surrounding his.
