Once Draco found the stairs that took him from the first floor and the processing room up to the second floor where his bedroom was, Draco didn't stop to dilly dally or explore on his way to his quarters. They'd taken his wand and even though he'd known they do that before he showed up he hadn't thought it would upset him as much as it did. Even though he was heading to a destination he'd never been to before it still felt like somewhere safe where he could figure out what he was going to do with himself here in a place like this.
His fingers skimmed along the banister of the stairs before he realized what he was doing and jerked his hand away, wiping it on the front of his pressed, white oxford and kept his hands to himself. Draco thought it was safe to assume that when they'd taken his luggage when he'd arrived that someone would bring it to his room, his single room, and that unpacking the trunk would help him settle in and settle down.
The middle floor of the institution looked a lot like the first. He looked warily at the decor and the too comfortable looking couches and chairs the stairs and hallway led to. Not even tempted to explore the rooms that branched out to his left, which most certainly looked like public gathering areas, and instead the numbers and letters on the door. 2I, 2J...that pattern had to lead to 2N. He just hoped that on his way to his bedroom no one would pop their heads out to see what was going on outside, especially someone he knew.
When he rounded the corner on 2P he had to do a double take. 2L to 2P didn't make any sense. He swallowed back a quick bought of panic that he knew was ridiculous, back tracked to when the ascending letters made sense and searched for something he may have missed but there were only windows.
