Who: Harry Potter and Remus Lupin What: Two angsty babies and awkward encounters When: Day 9, morning Where: Out on the grounds Status: Active Rating: PG...?
Remus couldn't help noticing the rather high number of people he was avoiding. After his encounter on his first day--no, his first hour--with Prewett, he was working overtime to avoid him when possible. Though he lived on the same floor, he was working just as hard to avoid Tonks. Hell, he'd avoid Prewett senior, if he could, but of course, the older werewolf was technically one of Remus' charges and he could hardly turn him away.
Shame, that.
So what was the easiest way to get out of running into people he really didn't want to see? Hide, of course. A man who'd gone charging into war headfirst was now hiding from a woman and an arse. Lovely. Sirius (Black, of course, he couldn't care less about the other) would've been ashamed. Where had that Marauder nature gone? Well, that was easily answered. It had gone the way of so many other people and things during the war--it had died.
Escaping the rather stifling building helped. He found himself walking a lot. The fresh air typically helped right after a transformation anyway, and he was still recouping. Book in hand, as Remus often had, he headed out the front doors, seeking the tree he usually hid behind for reading purposes. No way was he sitting for any sort of long period in that library!
