Even Aurors needed to eat. That was what Tonks was thinking to herself as she headed down to the kitchen. The Auror had been doing a mixture of wandering around and paperwork all day, but figured that the evening time should be for being open to anyone who had issues. While she wasn't a therapist or anything, the bright-haired woman definitely had an open door policy.
Along the way, she had run into her redheaded friend. The girls reunited in true friend fashion with hugs and chattering away. At least on Tonks' end. Ginny took a little bit to get back into the swing of hanging out with the exuberant older woman. But soon they were laughing and poking fun at each other in that sisterly way that they had.
Of course, neither of the girls were addressing the elephant in the room. But that could come at a later date, right? Right. So with tea brewing and Hurricane Tonks moving around the kitchen, they just talked and tried to catch up. It was inviting, almost. Normal. At least as normal as Nymphadora Tonks and Ginny Weasley got.
"D'you know that Ron's still pulling for the Cannons?" Asked Ginny, laughing at the perfect mimicry that Tonks pulled off of said brother.
"Course he is, lambie. He's got the loyalty of something very loyal!" Tonks replied, running her hands through now-matching Weasley red hair. Then she was looking around the kitchen and debating what to make. Over the years, Tonks actually gained a teeny bit of her father's flair in the kitchen. Of course, she gained much more of his messiness than anything else. The witches were intent in conversation and action, so intent..in fact..that they didn't notice anyone else walking past or into the kitchen.
