Making fake pork chops was not something Emory had been prepared for in his life. Real pork chops he could have managed quite well. He'd had to learn to cook, to fend for himself, and while he was never going to be recieving stars for his cooking, he did alright. But fake pork chops were something else entirely. Who wanted to eat fake meat, when real, delicious meat was avaliable? Well, Theodore Nott, apparently.
He had gone to the kitchen before lunch to try and figure something out, determined to find some way to make good on his part of the bargian. He rooted through the fridge, hoping upon unlikely hope that something with the label of 'Fake Porkchops!' would leap out at him. But it didn't. He did however, find something that had the potential to work.
Tofu.
Tofu was not something that Emory had ever had any interest in trying. It seemed weird and vaguely sponge like. In short, not edible. But he took the package out and stared at it for a little bit and poked it with his finger before he set about trying to cook with it.
He sliced some off and tried to cut it into the shape of a pork chop. It didn't really look like a pork chop, but he hoped that when he was seasoned and covered in sauce, it would. He did the seasoning, and then put it in the oven, because everything could be cooked in the oven he figured. While it was cooking he put on some rice - that he could do! - and worked on making a sauce from some things he found in the fridge. Which took two tries, as the first turned out green and odd looking.
The finished product didn't look like something that would be served in a restaurant, that was for sure. But it hopefully wasn't food poisoning-inducing either. He put the fake chops, rice and sauce and then got a glass of pumpkin juice. He took the whole thing down the hall and up the stairs and down another hall to Theodore's door.
Since his hands were full, he knocked on the door with his elbow.
