Adith wanted to shake his head, wanted to show how angry he was but every movement caused more pain to course through his body and he couldn't put himself through that. The man seemed repentant enough, but his excuses didn't absolve him of the danger he had put himself in, or of what had happened to Adith.
"You thought I was lying. You tried to convince me I'd made it up." He said, angry at himself for home quickly he had agreed to the man's ideas. "And why would I trick you? What possible reason had you to think that?"
