Joseph looked up, having been busy viciously destroying the work of one of the less experiences staff members, correcting mistakes, taking out sentences that travelled to nowhere and trying to force a cohesive opinion. He knew this was the editor’s job but the man will still have more than enough work to do when Joseph had tailored it, and sometimes the newer members of staff needed a helping hand to reach their full potential. He wasn’t certain it was worth his effort with this piece in particular.
It was just that today he was waiting for something, or someone. He knew what he’d written last night would be out on the tables of most homes currently, and that there’d be some commotion no doubt when it was finally read.
Hearing his name barked so abruptly, Joseph got to his feet, trying to see who it was who was looking for him.
“And why do you need do that?” He asked, his voice booming across the suddenly quite newsroom.
