"Tell him Lady Fernsulfer is out." Isiah growled, feeling more than irritable so soon after full-moon, his muscles and bones aching from the Change. He glanced back up at the maid who had brought the card, and frowned and sighed. His wife and daughter would at least want to hear from him, and no doubt his travels to foreign parts. For their stakes he supposed he should let the man into his home. Perhaps then Horace would take him up on his offer of a wrestling match.
He gestured for the maid to bring him his own blank calling cards, added both himself and Minerva to one. He paused, and then after a moments thought added a note to the bottom and passed it back to the maid. "Have that sent over. In an hour or so, and not before. I'm going to bed." He said, getting to his feet.
"And tell my wife that her brother will be visiting."
