Julia let out a sigh as her father gave her a back-handed compliment. She knew that at most times, he meant well. Though, she did feel like a piece of meat being sold at market. Also, she was sure there were several men that would jump at the chance to marry her. Not that she was so conceited, but she knew that the wealth and power that her father could offer was enticing enough, no matter what she looked like. "Thank you, father. I'm sure one day I'll be married." What she didn't say was that she would be married to the man of her choosing, she hoped.
