Well now, this was a nice change. Aurora considered the new addition to the ship with obvious delight. Gallant, handsome, and discerning, she thought, mentally congratulating Captain Masson on her fine selection of a passenger. He had the air of someone refined and unused to the challenges of space travel, and she resolved then and there to make his transition to life on the Huria an easier one for him. "Well," she began brightly, taking his arm with practiced ease, as if she normally strolled about with a gentleman in such a manner. "I'll try to steer us clear of any similar encounters tonight. Although I promise to tell the tale of your heroics at the breakfast tomorrow with suitable drama."
"I know just the place," she answered confidently, nearly yanking his arm as she suddenly turned directions. "Perfect for wine or something stronger if that's your fancy. You shouldn't leave Persephone without sampling its delights."
"Why are you leaving?" Aurora asked after a moment, unabashedly curious about his story.
