She wanted to talk to him, she wanted to tell him everything, to beg, scream, cry, do anything that might make him stay. But she knew that if she pulled away the moment would crumble, and she didn't want to let it go for anything.
So she tightened her grip only slightly and let him go at his own pace, just taking it all in, and reveling in what might have been.
