Okay, let's begin at the beginning: the title makes me happy. First off, it's French, and then it's so very fitting to this piece, I just. I love titles in general and pay a lot of attention to them, so yes, this one does make me happy!
Then, Remus and Fenrir - I love their position. I can feel Remus' fear and pain (his shoulder must hurt, the way Fenrir is twisting it back!), and I love his expression. Fenrir looks wonderfully feral. The wounds on Remus' body look awesome; and then! The blood on the wooden floor. The blood surrounding the wooden floor.
The clouds.
If I'm honest the clouds are probably my most favourite part. The whole composition is just such a gorgeous take on my prompt of Remus struggling with Lycanthropy; I don't know what to say about it. I love love love how the clouds seem to be alive, swirling around the two of them, and then the moon there, surrounded by this cloudy smoke. I can't help but keep staring at this part! The bloody line around the moon, this cloud that's seemingly wandering across the picture, going to cut me, as the viewer, off from what's happening; something about this strikes me as unidentifiably metaphorical.
In short, I love this to pieces. Wonderful work, dear mystery artist! I'm incredibly happy to have been gifted with this. Thank you so much!!! ♥
