So I'm out. So I caved. Do you know what it's like, to see nobody but guards and maybe your family, day in and day out? I thought it was worth it, thought I was bringing attention... but here I am, looking through this bloody journal at everything since I went in, and barely anybody even talked about it, or me, so what the bloody hell was my sacrifice for? Are we going to just be stuck and at the mercy of a DMLE that cares more about jailing someone for handing in evidence than finding a killer?
I don't think I want to live in the wizarding world anymore.

Oh, and it's interesting what we can learn when locked up, with people coming in and out of cells nearby. You know the Minister? The one the DMLE wanted me to give a piece of evidence to instead of giving it to them. Well it seems his wife smuggled a man out of the country, someone by the name of Khadgar Fiorvante, and sent to Cuba - must be nice to have that sort of privilege, right? Send a man out of the country in secret? Well to make things interesting, the man the Minister's wife smuggled is apparently telling everyone who'll listen that Altair Addison was trying to kill his family.
So what sort of relationship does the Minister and his wife have with this man? Why did they smuggle him out, and if they did so because they feared Addison, why didn't they alert the DMLE? Or did they decide to take matters into their own hand - or did Fiorvante do the deed himself or pay someone to do it, and the Minister and his wife are protecting him for it?
But then maybe the Minister's seen the same DMLE that I have and doesn't trust it to bring real justice.
