MORE DAILY PROPHET! [23 Aug 2014|07:37am]
SATURDAY MORNING EDITION: 8/23/2004 )

Owl Posts [23 Aug 2014|12:49pm]
Sarah,

In light of the Justin's troubles, I thought that you and his solicitors ought to know that two of the people in the Ministry that night have been arrested before: Seamus Finnigan and Bill Weasley. I don't have any other details, but maybe this could help Justin.

Ernie

---

Susan,

I overheard something at the bank today. Something that could help Justin. I already let his sister know, but perhaps I ought to go public. What do you think?

Ernie

Written in the early hours of Saturday morning, in handwriting considerably messier than usual.

I didn't know making your own choices could be so fucking difficult.

Miles,
It is never easy to choose between two possible options. Would you care to meet tomorrow, say around 1? Same place as last time.

Letter to the Editor [23 Aug 2014|04:23pm]
TO: Barnabus Cuffe, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Prophet
FROM: Miss Rose Zeller
WHEN: Saturday afternoon, 23 August 2004

Dear Sir,
I am writing to you in regards to Ms. Skeeter's article in the Morning Edition on Saturday, 23 August 2004. I am quite surprised that a reporter of such esteem such as Rita Skeeter or that a Wizarding institution such as The Daily Prophet have not taken the time to fact check the article entitled "Finch-Fletchely Psychiatric Evaluation."

Based on previous articles published by The Daily Prophet, it was established that Miss Rose Zeller is the daughter of the late Kathleen Zeller neƩ Slughorn who is the daughter of the late Osbert Slughorn, Professor Horace Slughorn's younger brother (7 October 2000). Additionally, Mr. Slughorn and Miss Zellar enjoy a close relationship and have since the tragic murder of Mrs. Zeller, which has been frequently referenced in articles covering the trial of Edgar Zeller (articles published 13 October 2000, 4 November 2000, 26 November 2000, and 18 December 2000). If Ms. Skeeter can get such basic facts of these wrong then how can we as the public trust the entirety of the article?

In addition, my client, Professor Horace Slughorn, denies speaking with any representative from your organisation and wishes to state that he believes his great-niece to be fully and whole-heartedly innocent. Such allegations that he would say or believe anything different goes against everything he fought for in the Second War.

I humbly request that The Daily Prophet does the just and honourable thing, withdraw the article until such facts can be verified and corroborated.
Sincerely,
Moses Longfellow, barrister to Rose Zeller and Horace Slughorn

Organizing international port keys are time consuming. and why the hell did I not think of that as an excuse to tell the Ministry officials when they asked me. However with everything back on schedule I think I have some free time to annoy some siblings of mine.

Whilst I rarely agree with Ms. Skeeter, she did make a rather salient point regarding Slytherin. Then again, it's hardly new information. It seems as if that information only comes out in drips and drabs around here. I imagine the Ministry i keeping much of it to themselves which is understandable.

Journal Post-Hermione Granger [23 Aug 2014|11:54pm]
I was under the impression that medical information, including psychiatric evaluations, were confidential information.

I'm not going to feed into the outrage the Prophet seems to want, but I can say that as a person who cares very deeply about individual rights, I'm appalled that so many of ours seem to have been trampled on in recent weeks. I care very much about the law and I want this murder to be solved too, but not at the expense of liberty.
