It is amazing how the most important decisions can be made on the whims of men. And how often these decisions, though they may feel right at the time, or might even be the right decision to make, can lead a person, or an entire world, down the wrong path.
Thus it was that James had no idea that by choosing Sirius as his secret keeper, he would inadvertently spare Voldemort his defeat and plunge the world into his dark rule.
It is now the summer of 1998, and the wizarding world has become a dark place. Through loyal followers and charmed men, Voldemort has become the shadow king of England, ruling through an unending chain of puppet ministers. Families are shattered as halfbloods and muggleborn are relentlessly persecuted.
Some still fight valiantly, but secretly, against the Death Eaters. Others live luxuriously off the spoils of a corrupt system. Some warriors of the light have fallen to the darkness, but some agents of darkness have risen to the light. And even more walk the razor's edge between.
Sic Infit is a Harry Potter AU game. Set in 1998, it explores the possibilities of what could have happened had James and Lily Potter stuck with Sirius as their Secret Keeper. What could have happened if Harry had never become The Boy Who Lived? What if Lord Voldemort had actually won?
