Guh indeed. Such a brilliant story! So much to love about it:
Harry's house, that "echoed at Teddy." I loved all descriptions of that house, but that one was the best (for some reason). ^-^
Harry's plan to change the past - that was so totally Harry! Charge off to save people, only to find out that things are a bit more difficult than he thought. I loved how he came to realise that, if he changed the past, he wouldn't have Teddy, he wouldn't have this future.
I also really loved the change in Harry. In the first part, he was so remote and all mysterious, and he is so different from his first appearance in the second part.
And so brilliant that Harry was the big one for once! Not just how large he was in Teddy's mind but, you know, how he has big hands and how heavy he is on top of Teddy. Guh.
And the sex! *melts* Teddy was such a brilliant, lovely mix between assertive ("Come on. I'm cold.") and shy and hesitant. Harry coming all over Teddy's face, spanking ... Phew. *fans self* So hot!
And those little snippets of the two of them living together! Harry touching Teddy because he just can't help himself. *melts*
And Teddy's lines!
“This isn't just a different way of going mad, is it?” Harry asked, directing the question more to himself than to Teddy.
“I'm pretty sure it is. [...] But at least this way, you'll have me for company,” Teddy said. “When you go mad.”
and
“I've been lying here wondering,” Harry said, his lips moving over the bridge of Teddy's nose. “Am I a creep for doing this with you?”
“Sure,” Teddy said. “But you're my creep, and I'm grateful for it."
not to forget
“I think you've done enough of that for one lifetime,” Harry said sadly. “I'll never forgive myself for leaving you here alone.”
“Well, it was for the best,” Teddy said. “That you and I should be kept apart until I was of legal age.”
Just so brilliant that for every Harry-typical moment of self-doubt, Teddy had an answer! A perfectly Slytherin answer at that, and that was the last stroke of genius, making Teddy a Slytherin.
Oh wow, what a really really brilliant story! Thank you very much, mystery writer! I enjoyed this a lot and I'm sure I'll be back for re-reading it. Daily. ^-^
