It's been five years since Harry Potter triumphed over He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Five years to deal with grief, loss, and the destruction left in the Dark Lord's wake. The scars on the Wizarding world are starting to fade, but the memory still lingers on the minds of many. Moving on and healing were the main motivators for this generation, but no one was expecting the forgotten obstacle they would now have to conquer: society and the gossip at it's foundation. Now, more than ever, the use of gossip circulates in an attempt to offer something to focus on other than the mistakes and struggles of the past. Like bees to a hive, Wizarding society has fed the flame of the Daily Prophet's Gossip Column, further diminishing the papers reputation. It doesn't seem to matter how quiet you keep your business, the eyes of society are always watching. |
