For the more serious Potions aficionado, an apprenticeship at Slug and Jiggers might be just the thing. Of course, as a very junior potions mixer, you won't get up to anything too exciting. You'll most likely be stuck mixing the more odiferous potions that nobody else really wants to do. A stint like this will look great on your C. V., though. Job highlights include: returning to school smelling like rotten eggs and the honour of working with "Jiggs", Britain's foremost potions master now that Snape is out of the picture. It's also highly likely you eyebrows will be singed off at least once this term.

The year is 1981 and Wizarding London is overrun with crime. Favoured Mayoral Candidate Lucius Malfoy seeks to put an end to it if only to improve the climate for his upcoming election. Two wars are being waged in this torn city: that between the youth and the elders, and that over familial allegiances.
The Crime Syndicate is allegedly killing a fresh victim each night, but they hold to their own standards of morality and conduct. Albus Dumbledore's uniformed officers of the Law are desperately trying to tie the infamous Black family with claims of prostitution, drugs, and murders. The city of London is in chaos and a new band of Vigilantes has taken matters into their own hands.

Like every year, young witches and wizards all over Britain prepare themselves for their return to Hogwarts. This time, however, everything feels different. The year is 1998, and the last time they saw their school a battle was taking place: the great Battle of Hogwarts that saw Voldemort fall and where so many others, family and friends alike, also lost their lives. The wizarding world might be in ruins, but it's nothing compared to the school and to the students that survived. How will the recent events affect them? Will they find absolution for what they did?
Absolution is a post-DH game, starting August 1998. It focuses on the rebuilding of the wizarding world through the eyes of the students of Hogwarts and how they deal with the rebuilding of their school and the memories of what happened the previous year. Muggleborns try to return to the lives they had a year before. The children of Voldemort's supporters try to deal with the new stigma that befell them. Those who fought at the Battle try to cope with what they experienced. And everyone tries to mourn their losses and move forward.
