This time, however, everything feels different. The year is 1998, and the last time they saw their school a battle was taking place: the great Battle of Hogwarts that saw Voldemort fall and where so many others, family and friends alike, also lost their lives. The wizarding world might be in ruins, but it's nothing compared to the school and to the students that survived. How will the recent events affect them? Will they find absolution for what they did? Absolution is a post-DH game, starting August 1998. It focuses on the rebuilding of the wizarding world through the eyes of the students of Hogwarts and how they deal with the rebuilding of their school and the memories of what happened the previous year. Muggleborns try to return to the lives they had a year before. The children of Voldemort's supporters try to deal with the new stigma that befell them. Those who fought at the Battle try to cope with what they experienced. And everyone tries to mourn their losses and move forward. School rivalries still ring true, pureblood supremecists still hold their ideals close, and muggleborn rights activists still fight for equality. Though we may not get along, like it or not, we're all still connected. Six Degrees has an incredibly active and diverse cast of characters, and our goal with the game is to explore the connections between them, especially the not so obvious ones. Rivalries may always exist, even long after Hogwarts is over, but without those House colors to define you, will you still so quickly judge those you meet? We have been around since mid-December 2010, and have been growing ever since! There aren't complicated game histories to catch up on, and no lengthy reading before you can even think of applying.
